CSTC/GSI Delivered One 55,500DWT Chemical/Product Oil Tanker to IMC Holdings Limited.

On 9th June 2021, one 55,000DWT Chemical/Product Oil Tanker was delivered by China Shipbuilding Trading Co., Ltd. (CSTC) / Guangzhou Shipyard International Co., Ltd. (GSI) to IMC HOLDINGS LIMITED. Representatives of the CSTC, GSI, IMC and CSSC leasing attended the ceremony and signed the delivery documents.
This vessel is the last one of the eight MR vessel project. Length overall of the vessel is 183 meters, the breadth 35 meters, design draft is 10.5 meters, service speed is 14 knots. The classification is LR. The vessel has extremely high maneuverability. The vessel is equipped with 22 cargo tanks, which can carry 22 kinds of liquid chemicals at the same time without contaminating each other. The main engine and generator are equipped with SCR and EGCS system and satisfied the requirements of TIER III and EEDI phase 3.
During the COVID-19 period, CSTC and GSI made continuous efforts to achieve on-schedule delivery of the ship. Eight vessels of the whole project have been delivered by now, which not only reflect CSTC and GSI’s ability to guarantee the on-time and high quality delivery of these vessels, but also demonstrates the deep friendship and cooperation between all parties.

CSSC Beihai Shipbuilding Hits Suezmax Milestone
Recently, China Shipbuilding Trading Co., Ltd. (CSTC) and CSSC Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (QBS) have inked a contract with a renowned Greek owner for the construction of one Suezmax tanker. This latest deal brings the total number of QBS’s Suezmax orders to three, marking the significant entry of the shipyard into this key ship type newbuilding segment.

On January 16, 2026, China Shipbuilding Trading Co., Ltd. (CSTC) and CSSC Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd. (DSIC) signed shipbuilding contracts with a renowned European shipowner for 2 firm plus 2 option units of 114,000 DWT product tankers, marking CSSC’s first product tanker order in 2026.
