CSTC and Shanhaiguan Shipyard Delivered an 81,000 DWT Bulk Carrier to Frontline

On 10th June, CSTC and DSIC Shanhaiguan Shipyard delivered a 81,000 DWT bulk carrier “GOLDEN FURIOUS” to Frontline. Representatives of all parties attended the delivery ceremony and signed the delivery documents. The delivery of GOLDEN FURIOUS, the last in a series of eight vessels built for Frontline, marks the successful completion of the project.
GOLDEN FURIOUS is about 229 meters in length, 32.26 meters in width and 20.05 meters in depth, with a service speed of 14 knots and is classified by Lloyd’s Register. GOLDEN FURIOUS meets the requirements of HCSR specifications and is equipped with SOX scrubbers; its mechanical equipment meets the requirements of ICE 1C, while the structural design meets the requirements of ICE 1B. The vessel has been well received by all parties for its good performance indicators.
During the construction, CSTC worked actively to coordinate among shipyard and ship owner, which lead to the smooth sea trial and successful delivery. GOLDEN FURIOUS was scheduled to leave for Canada for its maiden voyage on 11th June.

CSSC Beihai Shipbuilding Hits Suezmax Milestone
Recently, China Shipbuilding Trading Co., Ltd. (CSTC) and CSSC Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (QBS) have inked a contract with a renowned Greek owner for the construction of one Suezmax tanker. This latest deal brings the total number of QBS’s Suezmax orders to three, marking the significant entry of the shipyard into this key ship type newbuilding segment.
