CSTC/Jiangnan Shipyard delivered a 86000 CBM VLGC to SOUTHWEST

On January 4th, CSTC and Jiangnan Shipyard, two subsidiaries of CSSC, successfully delivered one Dual Fuel 86000 CBM VLGC "GAS CAPRICORN" to SOUTHWEST MARITIME LIMITED.
"GAS CAPRICORN" is the last one of three sister vessels, which are the third-generation VLGC(86P) developed and designed by Jiangnan Shipyard. Compared with the second-generation VLGC(84P), the 86P has better safety and reliability, and is environmental-friendly meeting latest emission requirements. Since 2019, a total of 12 VLGC(86P) vessels were built by Jiangnan Shipyard, which has successfully improved CSTC/Jiangnan Shipyard's VLGC market share.
The successfully delivery of "GAS CAPRICORN" marked the perfect end of cooperation among all parties and laid a good foundation for further cooperation with Southwest in 93P series. It also strengthens the friendship and relationship between CSTC, Jiangnan Shipyard, and SOUTHWEST.

CSSC Beihai Shipbuilding Hits Suezmax Milestone
Recently, China Shipbuilding Trading Co., Ltd. (CSTC) and CSSC Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (QBS) have inked a contract with a renowned Greek owner for the construction of one Suezmax tanker. This latest deal brings the total number of QBS’s Suezmax orders to three, marking the significant entry of the shipyard into this key ship type newbuilding segment.

On January 16, 2026, China Shipbuilding Trading Co., Ltd. (CSTC) and CSSC Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd. (DSIC) signed shipbuilding contracts with a renowned European shipowner for 2 firm plus 2 option units of 114,000 DWT product tankers, marking CSSC’s first product tanker order in 2026.
