One 115,000 DWT Crude Oli/Product Tanker delivered to MAERSK

CSTC and Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd (DSIC), two subsidiaries of CSSC, jointly delivered a 115,000DWT Crude Oil/Product Tanker “MAERSK STELLA” to Maersk Tankers Singapore Pte. Ltd. on January 7, 2022. “MAERSK STELLA” is the eighth in a series of ten vessels built for Maersk by DSIC. Representatives of all parties attended the delivery ceremony and signed the delivery documents.
“MAERSK STELLA” is 250.0m in length overall, 44.0m in breadth and 21.9m in depth moulded. With a matching design on hull, main engine and propeller, and equipped with energy-saving Duct, the efficiency of the propulsion system has been remarkably improved. Moreover, the reasonable layout and structural design make the vessel excellent in vibration and noise control. This series of vessels is a new generation of crude oil/product tankers with outstanding energy-saving and load performance.
The construction cycle of "MAERSK STELLA" has been significantly shortened, while the quality remains mature and stable. Despite the regional epidemic repeated in the later period of construction, a smooth delivery of the vessel was guaranteed through joint efforts and collaboration of all parties, which also laid the foundations for the subsequent construction and deliveries of her sister vessels.
