One 15000 TEU container vessel delivered to CMA CGM

On January 4th, 2022, CSTC and Hudong-Zhonghua Shipyard，two subsidiaries of CSSC, successfully delivered a 15,000 TEU container vessel “CMA CGM Apollon” to CMA CGM. Guests from CMA CGM, CMB Leasing, Hudong-Zhonghua Shipyard, CSTC and other parties attended the naming and delivery ceremony in Shanghai.
Chen Jun, President of Hudong-Zhonghua Shipyard, Ludovic RENOU, CEO of CMA CGM China, and Cui Hongwei, Vice President of CMB leasing attended the naming ceremony and made a speech. Godmother Ms. Lina Shen, named the new vessel and cut the ribbon. Chi Benbin and Wen Hongbing, Vice President of Hudong-Zhonghua, Lin Feng, Vice President of CSTC and other guests attended the ceremony.
“CMA CGM Apollon” is the fourth of five conventional propulsion 15,000 TEU container vessels ordered by CMA CGM. This project was signed on the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France, which is one of the important cooperation fruits between CMA CGM and CSSC.
The successful delivery of “CMA CGM Apollon” further improved HZ's market share in large container vessel market. It aslo strengthens the friendship and relationship between CSTC, Hudong-Zhonghua, and CMA CGM.

CSSC Beihai Shipbuilding Hits Suezmax Milestone
Recently, China Shipbuilding Trading Co., Ltd. (CSTC) and CSSC Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (QBS) have inked a contract with a renowned Greek owner for the construction of one Suezmax tanker. This latest deal brings the total number of QBS’s Suezmax orders to three, marking the significant entry of the shipyard into this key ship type newbuilding segment.
