CSTC&JN win orders for 3 more LNG carriers

Recently, China Shipbuilding Trading Co., Ltd. (CSTC) and Jiangnan Shipyard (Group) Co., Ltd.,(Jiangnan Shipyard), two subsidiaries of China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited (CSSC), signed newbuilding contracts for three (3) units of 175000 cbm LNG carriers with ADNOC L&S, a subsidiary of ADNOC, which is the second series order of 175000 cbm LNG carrier in short term.
This project is 175,000 cbm LNG carrier (“LNG JUMBO”) which is independently developed and designed by Jiangnan Shipyard based on the latest international LNG carrier design. A number of low-carbon and energy-saving technologies which makes the comprehensive economic performance reach the international leading level are applied, such as the use of partial reliquefaction system which will improve energy efficiency utilization, the new dual fuel propulsion system technology which will meet the Tier III IMO NOx and SOx emission limitation, the iCER system for main engines which will be in line with the green environmental protection. In addition, the vessels are applicable for most ports.
The successful contract signing is of great significance. Further cooperation with ADNOC will lay a good foundation for market development, as well as enhance CSSC’s international influence in the LNG sector.

CSSC Beihai Shipbuilding Hits Suezmax Milestone
Recently, China Shipbuilding Trading Co., Ltd. (CSTC) and CSSC Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (QBS) have inked a contract with a renowned Greek owner for the construction of one Suezmax tanker. This latest deal brings the total number of QBS’s Suezmax orders to three, marking the significant entry of the shipyard into this key ship type newbuilding segment.

On January 16, 2026, China Shipbuilding Trading Co., Ltd. (CSTC) and CSSC Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd. (DSIC) signed shipbuilding contracts with a renowned European shipowner for 2 firm plus 2 option units of 114,000 DWT product tankers, marking CSSC’s first product tanker order in 2026.
