One 1900TEU Container vessel delivered to KANWAY LINE

On May 29th, one 1900TEU container vessel built by China Shipbuilding Trading Co., Ltd. (CSTC) and Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (HPWS), two subsidiaries of CSSC, was named "Kanway Fortune" and delivered to Kanway Line in Guangzhou. Mr. Lee Shuu Kuam, president of Kanway Line, Mr. Luo Bing, president of HPWS, and the representative of CSTC attended the “Cloud Delivery“ ceremony spanning Guangzhou, Taipei and Shanghai.
With 172m length, 27.5m width, 14.6m in depth, design draft of 8.5m and design speed of 18.5 knots, "Kanway Fortune" complies with the requirements of EEDI III and is an energy-efficient and environment-friendly green container vessel. The successful delivery of the vessel will strengthen the lines and improve the competitiveness of Kanway Line in Asia.
With the experience of many generations of feeder container vessel, this type of 1900TEU container vessel was made its successful appearance in 2020, and its basic, detailed and production design are independently completed by HPWS. Based on HPWC’s construction experience of same type vessel, ”Kanway Fortune” was delivered two months earlier than contractual delivery date, which fully reflects the strong strength of HPWC as a leading enterprise in the feeder container.

Recently, China Shipbuilding Trading Co., Ltd. (CSTC) and CSSC Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (QBS) have inked a contract with a renowned Greek owner for the construction of one Suezmax tanker. This latest deal brings the total number of QBS’s Suezmax orders to three, marking the significant entry of the shipyard into this key ship type newbuilding segment.
