One 50,000DWT Product Oil/Chemical Tanker delivered to KUMIAI

On May 25^th, a 50,000DWT Product Oil/Chemical Tanker, named as “Lady Amanda”, was delivered to Kumiai Senpaku by China Shipbuilding Trading Co.,Ltd.(CSTC) /Chengxi Shipyard Co. Ltd.(Chengxi Shipyard), two subsidiaries of CSSC. Mr. Nobutaka Mukae, President of Kumiai Senpaku Co., Ltd., Mr. Lu Ziyou and Mr. Zhou Jianxiang, Chairman and VP of Chengxi Shipyard, and Mr. Wu Aijun, VP of CSTC attended the on-line delivery ceremony.

This project marks the first cooperation between CSTC/Chengxi Shipyard and Kumiai Senpaku in the MR tanker field, following the successful cooperation in the domain of asphalt ships. Against the backdrop of sharp fluctuation and continuous slump of tanker market, CSTC had worked in close cooperation with the ship owner during the construction of this vessel, had strenuously overcome various difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and ensured the vessel delivery on schedule. With overall length of 182.7 meters, breadth of 32.2 meters, design draft of 11 meters, service speed of 14.5 knots and 6+1 pairs of cargo tanks, the tanker “Lady Amanda” is independently designed by Chengxi Shipyard, featured with superior maneuverability, safety and economic performance, maximally fulfilling the personalized loading and unloading requirements of ship owner. Meanwhile, as a modern IMO II chemical tanker equipped with SCR and EGCS system onboard the vessel, “Lady Amanda” boasts energy conservation,environmental protection and high efficiency.

Confronted with COVID-19 pandemic, CSTC together with Chengxi Shipyard had made continuous endeavors at full steam to achieve the successful delivery of the ship on schedule, and Kumiai expressed satisfaction with the quality and construction efficiency of this vessel and appreciated our efforts on this project.
