CSTC and DSIC Delivered one 308,000 DWT VLCC to CSIC Leasing

On 8th May, CSTC and DSIC delivered a 308,000 DWT VLCC to CSIC Leasing. This vessel is the first VLCC independently invested by CSIC Leasing in DSIC. Representatives of all parties attended the delivery ceremony and signed the delivery documents.


This is a new generation energy-saving and environment-friendly ship type which is independently developed by DSIC with great market potential and competitiveness. This vessel is 333 meters in length, 60 meters in width, and 30 meters in depth, with unlimited navigation area, and sailing range of more than 25,000 nautical miles. It can carry 2 million barrels of crude oil through the Strait of Malacca under the design draft of 20.5 meters.

During the construction, CSTC and DSIC worked together to overcome the impact of the COVID-19, actively coordinated with all parties, completed sea trials and successfully delivered the vessel.

CSSC Beihai Shipbuilding Hits Suezmax Milestone
Recently, China Shipbuilding Trading Co., Ltd. (CSTC) and CSSC Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (QBS) have inked a contract with a renowned Greek owner for the construction of one Suezmax tanker. This latest deal brings the total number of QBS’s Suezmax orders to three, marking the significant entry of the shipyard into this key ship type newbuilding segment.

On January 16, 2026, China Shipbuilding Trading Co., Ltd. (CSTC) and CSSC Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd. (DSIC) signed shipbuilding contracts with a renowned European shipowner for 2 firm plus 2 option units of 114,000 DWT product tankers, marking CSSC’s first product tanker order in 2026.
