One VLEC delivered to BOCOM Leasing and PACIFIC GAS

On December 28th, CSTC and Jiangnan Shipyard, two subsidiaries of CSSC, successfully delivered the first 99,000 CBM VLEC named “PACIFIC INEOS BELSTAFF”, to BOCOM Leasing and PACIFIC GAS. Guests from CSSC，BOCOM Leasing，PACIFIC GAS，Jiangnan Shipyard，CSTC and other parties attended the naming and delivery ceremony. Representatives of BOCOM Leasing , Jiangnan Shipyard and CSTC signed the delivery documents.
“PACIFIC INEOS BELSTAFF” equipped with four TYPE-B tanks and two TYPE-C deck tanks, is developed and designed by Jiangnan Shipyard, which is 230.0m long, 36.6m wide and 22.5m deep, with a total capacity of 99,000 cubic meters.
“PACIFIC INEOS BELSTAFF” is the first VLEC equipped with Type-B tank and the largest capacity in the world . The ethane fueled main engine and shaft generator can meet the most stringent emission requirements while maintaining the best economy. During the construction of the project, all parties had contract-cooperation to overcome the challenges due to the Covid-19 pandemic, which ensured the smooth delivery of the vessel.
This successful delivery will create a brand of CSTC and Jiangnan Shipyard in the VLEC segment and gradually promote the the market share, as well as setting a benchmark for advanced green technology, which provide a sound basis for realizing the high-quality development of CSSC.

CSSC Beihai Shipbuilding Hits Suezmax Milestone
Recently, China Shipbuilding Trading Co., Ltd. (CSTC) and CSSC Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (QBS) have inked a contract with a renowned Greek owner for the construction of one Suezmax tanker. This latest deal brings the total number of QBS’s Suezmax orders to three, marking the significant entry of the shipyard into this key ship type newbuilding segment.

On January 16, 2026, China Shipbuilding Trading Co., Ltd. (CSTC) and CSSC Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd. (DSIC) signed shipbuilding contracts with a renowned European shipowner for 2 firm plus 2 option units of 114,000 DWT product tankers, marking CSSC’s first product tanker order in 2026.
