CSSC Secures Annually First International Bulker Order

QINGDAO, China – October 31, 2025 –China Shipbuilding Trading Co., Ltd. (‘CSTC’) and CSSC Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (‘QBS’) have inked contracts for 2+1 units of Newcastlemax bulk carriers with Belgium-based shipowner EBE NV, marking CSSC’s first international bulk carrier order of this year.
The new vessels are designed for future fuel transition, featuring an ammonia-ready conception, the latest hull optimizations and high-efficiency propulsion systems that will reduce fuel consumption, improve operational efficiency and meet strict environmental regulations.
EBE, a Belgian dry bulk owner with deep roots in European shipping, has placed its first newbuilding order in China, reflecting strong trust and full recognition in CSSC QBS’s green shipbuilding capability and high reputation on global bulker newbuildings.
This deal further reinforces CSSC’s global market presence and aligns with international shipping’s move toward low-carbon solutions.

This latest deal brings the total number of QBS’s Suezmax orders to three, marking the significant entry of the shipyard into this key ship type newbuilding segment.

On January 16, 2026, China Shipbuilding Trading Co., Ltd. (CSTC) and CSSC Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd. (DSIC) signed shipbuilding contracts with a renowned European shipowner for 2 firm plus 2 option units of 114,000 DWT product tankers, marking CSSC’s first product tanker order in 2026.

CSSC Secures Annually First VLCC Order from Greek Owner
Qingdao/Athens, 5 January 2026– China Shipbuilding Trading Co., Ltd. (‘CSTC’) and CSSC Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (‘QBS’) have been awarded a contract by Cape Shipping for the construction of up to two VLCCs. The contract was signed via a virtual ceremony.
