On 20th April 2022, one 62,000 DWT Heavy-Lift Multi-Purpose vessel “PILECKI” was delivered to Bank of Communications Financial Leasing Co., Ltd. (BOCOMM) online by CSTC and Chengxi Shipyard, two subsidiaries of CSSC. The delivered vessel will be chartered to Chinese-Polish Joint Stock Shipping Company (Chipolbrok). Representatives of all parties signed the delivery documents together.

With overall length of 199.90m, breadth of 32.26m, design draft of 11.3m and service speed of 14.4knots, PILECKI is the third vessel of four 62,000 DWT heavy-lift multi-purpose vessels project. The vessel is featuring green, energy saving and environmental-friendly and meets the requirements of EEDI Phase Ⅲ, NOx Tier Ⅲ and latest SOx emission requirements.

Shipyards of CSSC have built more than 50 vessels for BOCOMM and the amount exceeds RMB 20 billion. PILECKI will be operated and managed by Chipolbrok, which was the first joint venture in China and it made important contributions to the economic construction in the early period of the funding of the P.R. China. Chipolbrok built a bridge of friendships between Chinese and Polish people.

The project was signed and constructed during the COVID-19 pandemic. What was worse, the COVID-19 pandemic outbroke again in Shanghai suddenly before delivery. However, CSTC and Chengxi Shipyard worked hard together with BOCOMM and overcame the difficulties due to working from home by the pandemic, which made the vessel delivered about four and a half months in advance of contract delivery date. The smooth delivery fully reflects the ability and responsibility of CSTC to coordinate with all parties and ensure the delivery under the current prevention of fighting against the COVID-19 pandemic.
