CSTC and GSI deliver to FPMC a 48800 T Chemical/Product Oil Tanker

On June 24th, 2020，CSTC and GSI successfully delivered to FPMC one 48,800 tons Chemical/Product oil tanker. Representatives of the above-mentioned parties signed the delivery documents.
Based on optimized design of mature MR-type tankers, this ship is a new generation of energy saving and environmentally-friendly liquid cargo tanker, with overall length of 183 meters, moulded width of 32 meters, moulded depth of 18.3 meters, designed draft of 11 meters, and service speed of 14.5 knots, and is equipped with open sulfur removal system satisfying the requisition of IMO Tier III.
This tanker is the last of a series of 6 ships. The collaboration between CSTC/GSI and FPMC began from 2017 and remains productive. After the outbreak of COVID-19 epidemic, FPMC assisted CSTC/GSI to resume construction actively. With joint efforts of all stakeholders, the ship was delivered ahead of the contractual schedule. Early delivery of this series of ships demonstrates the capacity of CSTC/GSI and shows the friendly cooperation and solidarity among the three parties in the fight against the epidemic.

On April 20, 2026, HANNOVER MESSE 2026, the world’s largest international trade fair for industrial technology and a premier platform for industrial design, manufacturing, application, and trade, opened in Hanover, Germany. Mr. Zhao Tongbin, Vice President of China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited (CSSC), attended the event and participated in a series of business visits. CSSC organized 17 secondary companies to appear under the unified CSSC brand.

CSSC Beihai Shipbuilding Hits Suezmax Milestone
Recently, China Shipbuilding Trading Co., Ltd. (CSTC) and CSSC Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (QBS) have inked a contract with a renowned Greek owner for the construction of one Suezmax tanker. This latest deal brings the total number of QBS’s Suezmax orders to three, marking the significant entry of the shipyard into this key ship type newbuilding segment.

CSSC Wins First Annual Product Tankers Order from European Shipowner
On January 16, 2026, China Shipbuilding Trading Co., Ltd. (CSTC) and CSSC Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd. (DSIC) signed shipbuilding contracts with a renowned European shipowner for 2 firm plus 2 option units of 114,000 DWT product tankers, marking CSSC’s first product tanker order in 2026.
