CSTC and Hudong-Zhonghua Delivered one 18,600 CMB LNG Bunkering Vessel

On 31^st October, 2021, CSTC and Hudong-Zhonghua successfully delivered one 18,600 CMB LNG Bunkering Vessel named ”Gas Vitality” to MOL. After the delivery, the vessel will be chartered to Total to serve for Total’s clients. She will kick-start bunkering operations this December, when it will provide services to CMA CGM’s LNG-fueled containerships. Thereafter, she will also bunker MSC Cruises’ upcoming LNG-powered cruise ships that call at the French ports.

Gas Vitality has the biggest cargo tank in world’s LNG bunkering vessel’ fleet. Compared to last generation vessel “Gas Agility”, Gas Vitality has three major upgrades: higher loading rate, increased number of receiving vessels, and higher compatibility.

With the global shift to a greener energy, marine LNG is an immediate solution for ships to start their decarbonization journey. Its use also provides a practical, long-term pathway to future alternative fuel solutions, such as bio and synthetic methane, as well as other cryogenic fuels.
