CSTC & Dalian shipyard (DSIC) , two subsidiaries of CSSC, have secured an order for the construction of four ocean-going 37,000DWT Great Lakes bulk carriers from PZM (Polska Żegluga Morska).
The environmentally advanced vessels will be built at DSIC Shanhaiguan yard with a total length of 199.9 meters, a width of 23.7 meters and a depth of 15.6 meters, in line with the latest international convention, rules and regulations of Great Lakes. The super-eco newbuildings will support PZM’s sustainability goals and improve its market competiveness in the future.
PZM is the biggest state-owned dry bulk shipowner in Europe and the significant Lakes Bulkers operator in the world. Its 57 vessels, the total capacity of which is about 2.3 million dwt, transport nearly 20 million tons of cargoes annually.
