Information

CSTC and DSIC,  two subsidiaries of CSSC,  recently signed contracts with a reputable European shipowner for Six (6) Dual-Fuel 16,000TEU container vessels.

The vessel is designed by MARIC with 366 meters in length of overall, 51 meters in breadth and 30.2 meters in depth moulded, equiped with WinGD DF main engine and the latest iCER-Diesel system, which can reduce total GHG emissions of the vessel and improve energy consumption efficiency. It is also equipped with a shaft generator and an air lubrication system to improve the vessel's economic performance and reduce the vessel's GHG emissions as well. It's a global leading container ship meeting the latest requirements of the IMO regulations for environmental protection.

CSTC and DSIC are deeply involved in global carbon reduction revolution and would like to develop "Ammonia ready" vessel together with shipowner. After adopting this technology, this series of vessels could be the first one in the world for such large dual-fuel container vessels meeting “Ammonia ready” requirements, which will help the vessel to achieve "zero-carbon emission" in the future and significantly lay an industry benchmark for the development of green and environmental-friendly container vessels. The “Ammonia ready” modification also shows that CSTC and DSIC are taking active actions to implement the high-quality development strategy of CSSC.

CSTC, as a marketing platform of CSSC, worked together with DSIC to keep close and efficient communication with shipowner for this project. By means of CSSC group's resources advantage and strong technical strength, CSTC and DSIC maintained shipowner's trust and recognition and signed contracts successfully, which will strongly promote DSIC’s green development strategy and product upgrading of large container vessels.
