CSTC has imported many hundred kinds of key hard and soft wares for shipbuilding, including machine tools, measuring instruments, shipboard equipment, and technologies of ship designing, ship construction, equipment manufacture, etc. Production licenses have been purchased from world renowned licensors such as ABB, MAN B&W, MTU, Daihatsu， Wartsila, New Sulzer, etc. These technology imports have borne fruit, the respective expertise and know how have been extensively used in designing and construction of shipboard equipment. Low-speed 2-stroke diesel engines, deck cranes, life-saving equipment, outfittings, anchors and anchor chains, etc. have been exported to Japan, Korea and countries in southeast Asia, Europe, America, Middle East and Africa.
